9days-Nairobi/Mt.Kenya/Samburu/Sweetwaters/Masai Mara/Nairobi

ZebrasDay 1 – Nairobi

Upon arrival at JKIA you will be met by Bechy Tours representative and immediately transferred to your Hotel for overnight accommodation based on Bed and Breakfast.

Day 2 - Mt. Kenya National Park

Early morning drive to the Central Highlands of Kenya to explore one of the most fertile and populated regions of the country. En route you will pass the vast pineapples estates of Thika, representing Kenya’s chief fruit export.

You will arrive in your Hotel, the Camp/lodge., in time for lunch, spend the afternoon in the lodge and enjoy the sight seeing where animals visit a nearby water hole. You also have a chance to do optional nature walks on the lower slopes of Mt. Kenya.

Day 3 - Samburu National Reserve

continuing north, towards Laikipia plateau, you enter the hauntingly beautiful desert region of the northern frontier. Samburu country in the semi-arid areas of northern Kenya, a region characterized by animals not found in other parts of Kenya, such as the reticulated giraffe, the Oryx with its long horns, the grevy zebra and the gerenuk oddly perched on its hind legs to graze on the acacia trees.

Apart from these special animals, you will see elephants, lions and an abundance of birds. In Samburu you will stay at the Camp/lodge, a luxury tented camp on the banks of Ewaso Nyiro River, the home of the Nile crocodile and wild Velvet monkeys.

From your home base under riverside acacia trees, you will explore this lovely park, both early mornings and evenings. You will also meet the Samburu people, cousins to the Maasai who migrated to Kenya about 500 years ago from the Nunbian banks of the Nile.

Nomadic cattle herders, this traditional African tribe wears red clothe and lives in the old ways as they move their herds in search of water.

Day 4 - Samburu National Reserve

Morning and afternoon game drives. Dinner and overnight at Camp/lodge..

Day 5 - Sweetwaters Sanctuary

You depart after breakfast and drive to Sweetwater’s Private Sanctuary for lunch. Sweetwaters Luxury Tented Camp is a beautiful tented camp on grounds of a private wildlife sanctuary Your tent face a waterhole where numerous plain animals come to drink, with Mount Kenya rising up dramatically behind.

In the early morning, the clouds that often cover the mountain sometimes part, revealing the craggy, snow peak. Apart form doing game drives you may choose to visit the Chimp Sanctuary – a unique place in East Africa at no extra costs.

Day 6 - Lake Nakuru National Park

After breakfast drive - via Thomson Falls / Nyahururu - to Lake Nakuru in the Rift Valley, home to millions of pink flamingoes and other bird species, as well as black and white rhinos.
You will check in at Camp/lodge.in time for lunch and an afternoon game drive. Overnight stay at the Lodge/Tented Camp.

PumbaDay 7 - Masai Mara National Reserve

You depart after an early breakfast and drive through Maasai country and past the extinct volcanoes of Suswa and Longonot takes to arrive at the western flank of Masai Mara, Mara Serena for lunch.

The Masai Mara Game Reserve, bordering Tanzania, is part of the vast Serengeti ecosystem. You will spend your time in this celebrated reserve searching for big predators such as lion, cheetah, hyena, and leopard, and observing the full range of plains animals.

Few places on the continent of Africa or elsewhere can compare with the multitudes of wild animals found in the Mara. Overnight would be at Camp/lodge.

Day 8 - Masai Mara National Reserve

Morning and afternoon game drives.

Day 9 - Nairobi

Depart after morning game drive and breakfast to drive back to Nairobi.
