1 DAY LAKE NAKURU/NAIVASHA

Meet and greet. Pick up after breakfast and drive through a part of the central highlands. We make a short stop over at viewpoint to allow you have a panoramic view and appreciation of this magnificent Valley which is indeed, by its own rights a wonder of the World. Soon after, we begin to descend into the Great Rift Valley.

The Lake is the most conspicuous landmark as you approach Nakuru. It bequeaths the visitor with what is arguably Kenya’s most famous image; thousands of flamingoes united into a massive pulsing pink swathe of life that carpets the water and is fringed to the shores of lake.
This 30 sq km shallow alkaline lake is world acclaimed as the location of the greatest bird spectacle on earth - myriads of fuschia pink flamingoes whose numbers are legion, often more than a million or two.

The birds are a magnificent sight to behold. They flock to the lake to feed on algae, which thrives in the warm waters. It’s a spectacle to watch as the birds move back and forth, feeding and occasionally taking to flight, filling the sky over the lake with color and splendor.
We embark on a game drive on this beautiful park that will allow you appreciate God’s awesomeness.

The Park is an important sanctuary for the Black and White Rhino who are often seen resting under acacias by the Lakeshore. In addition the park abounds with game. You are bound to see huge herds of waterbuck, zebra, buffalo, and the endangered Rothschild Giraffe just to name a few. Indeed the park is one of your best chances of sighting a leopard in Kenya. Proceed for lunch.

After lunch, we retrace our tracks towards Nairobi. We branch off the highway at Naivasha and drive into Naivasha otherwise known as the happy Valley. We drive to the shores of lake Naivasha where you get an opportunity to go on a boat ride on the fresh water lake, a thrilling experience by all standards that puts gives you a good opportunity to take photos of the hippos which inhabit the Lake.

You will then depart for Nairobi and be transferred to your Hotel. End of a memorable safari
